thanks for replying! oo how lovely! i think i will be going to ubud im not to sure, but were staying further down. i will have to go to ubud if its home to arts & crafts! sounds lovely! yeah i had hep A and tetnus injection the other day and typhoid as well. okay yes mum bought one of those haha, oh no slow traffic ughh! yes thats what the doctor said to do, thank you so much!

I travel to Bali regularly and I can honestly say, the Balinese people are such kind, loving people and watching their traditions and experiencing their culture is so enriching!

I agree tangerine-lemonade, the Balinese are indeed beautiful people. I was fortunate to experience a Blessing Ceremony at the conclusion of my retreat. It was one of the most exquisite and delightful cultural traditions I have ever experienced. xo

Set amongst the jungle, above a flowing river, I felt incredibly blessed to swim in this Spring. A true garden of Eden, it is named the The Source and has long been revered by locals.

Hi f-loralily you’re not annoying at all! My visit to Bali was unique because I left my resort only a couple of times for short bursts. This was because I was meditating and practicing gentle asanas in the morning and afternoon - there was little time for anything else! I was based 20 minutes from Ubud, which I recommend visiting even if you are based down on the coast. Ubud is Bali’s arts and crafts centre and home to the famed money forest nature reserve and temple. There are some great boutiques for shopping and places to eat. The Bali Buddha Cafe serves really healthy and affordable meals and juices. A friend swears by Cafe Wayan although I didn’t make it there this time. Generally shopping anywhere in Bali is fun because it it really affordable… cotton and silk sarongs, beaded jewellery, ornaments and simple dresses… much cheaper than you would find in Australia. I had injections for typhoid, hep A and teatnus about 10 days before my trip. Also carry a tropical strength insect repellant and use it to prevent dengue fever. Traffic can be very slow and frustrating however it is lovely to experience different parts of the island. The Balinese people I encountered were very gentle and kind. I always drank bottled water and also used it to brush my teeth just to be sure…. Hope this helps. Wishing you safe travels, you will have an absolute ball. xo

I learnt the technique of Vedic Meditation which is a simple, natural and effortless technique practiced while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed for 20 minutes twice each day. Very calming and a great way to de-stress xo
